A Bit About the Artist:
Robert A. Green, born in 1950, discovered his love of art while attending art class at Crown Point High School in Indiana. He began painting with oils in 1967 & was almost entirely self taught. He then served in the US Army, jumping out of airplanes & began a lifelong career installing all manner of flooring in thousands of homes. He married in 1974, became a father of three & grandfather of three. All the while, he continued painting, winning awards at local art shows & selling his artwork on the side. His artwork could most often be seen at the “Griffith Park Full of Art”as well as the Lake County Fair art show, Hobart art show & most recently the Cedar Lake Historical Association Community Art Show. Robert passed away in June of 2020.
My name is Ben. I originally created this DeviantArt page for my dad, Robert Green, to help him share & promote his artwork. Now that he has passed, this page will be left as a sort of memorial to him & his art. Over the coming months we will be posting more oil paintings, as he has a bunch which are still drying & need to be sealed & framed.
Some of his paintings will be available on my eBay & are now being sold on behalf of my mother.
